Fuel Switching

Fuel Switching One of Carbon Green's primary goals is to create a competitive and lucrative market for biofuel producers.  One method for achieving this goal is transitioning the current means of production to make biofuel production more efficient and profitable.

One way of increasing efficiency and developing carbon credits for biofuel producers is converting biofuel plants into advanced bio-refineries.  This means that the energy the plant needs to produce its biofuel comes from a renewable energy source such as biomass boilers or wind turbines.  Self-sustainability is a way for producers to displace more GHG emissions than those offset by biofuels alone.  By eliminating or greatly reducing natural gas or coal use a refinery can not only cut its expenses, but can actually bring in additional revenue through carbon credits.

Carbon Green and Environmental Credit Corp were able to secure the first carbon credits for a biofuel producer anywhere in the world through the Chicago Climate Exchange using a fuel switching protocol we developed.

Carbon Green has also developed strong relationships with technology experts in the renewable fuel and energy industry.  By allying our clients with technology experts we are enabling them to be more competitive and profitable.
