Parkersburg Relief Drive

On May 25th of this year an E5 tornado ravaged multiple towns in the state of Iowa.  One of the hardest hit was Parkersburg, a town about 80 miles northwest of Cedar Rapids.  With winds surpassing 200 mph aTornado Damagend a base that grew to be 1.2 miles wide, the tornado carved a destructive path razing at least 350 homes and damaging many others.  The high school and many local businesses were also severely affected by the tornado.  As severe weather becomes more commonplace, subsequent relief efforts become more difficult to fund.  In Parkersburg, government cleanup-estimates are in the $6 million dollar range, but despite all the destruction there are signs of hope as Parkersburg residents begin to rebuild.  Please help us support their efforts.

Carbon Green has strong ties to the Midwest, and especially Iowa where many of our clients and friends reside.  We feel compelled to assist in the relief drive by soliciting donations on behalf of the Parkersburg residents and local businesses.  We have created a scale by which we will match donations based on the economic value of carbon credits up to the economic equivalent of 500 carbon credits.  (Please see the chart below.)  Donations should be made payable to 'Tornado Victims' and then mailed to our office.  Once the money is pooled and we have made our donation, all the checks will be sent to Lincoln Savings Bank in Aplington, IA.
